Mt. Rainier Baseball will be selling Brown Bear Car Wash tickets again this year to raise money for the program. This is one of our better fundraising programs. We thank Brown Bear for their support! We also want to thank Karen Smith for her help with organizing the fundraiser
We have a new developmental tool for our players this year. Hudl is a web based program that allows us to take video of our players and post it on the web for training purposes. Coaches can make notes and players can review their hitting/pitching/fielding mechanics to make improvements. Please provide your email to the link below to gain access to the program. You should receive an email once you have been accepted.
JDRF WALK TO CURE DIABETES
Coach Odegard & Coach Nelson will again this year take part in the JDRF South Sound Walk to Cure Diabetes on May 12th. Both coaches have been a part of the Jake's Crew team for the past 6 years. The group has raised over $69,000 towards Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) since 2005. If you would like to donate to the cause, please click on the link below......
The Mt. Rainier versus Highline rivalry lived up to its hype last night as the Rams got the win 4-3 over the Pirates. The Rams stood behind their senior pitcher, Brett Fawcett, who was fantastic on the mound going all 7 innings to earn the win. The game was tied at 3 to 3 for much of the game when the Rams loaded the bases in the top of the 7th, when a prirate error at first base allowed the go ahead run to score. The Pirates threaten to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th but Fawcett slammed the door for the win. Good win for our seniors last game. Seniors: Brett Fawcett, Jesse Van Duyn, Dallas Bain, Michael Rossmeier and Jon Culver.
We want to thank everyone for coming and especially all the former players and managers who came to honor Coach Rawie in his last game as MR Coach. Highline Times Article (Click)
